Anti Static Spray - Whenever I wear a skirt with tights and especially with a slip
they cling and ride up as l walk/move.Does anyone have a remedy for it?l
have seenthis spray on the internet but was wondering whether anyone has
tried it or knows if it works.
Your slip is made of nylon. Nylon attracts static electricity,
which, with some bodies is intensified. The spray claims to reduce static
- it does not work with everybody.
Switch to a underwear made from a natural fibre, such as cotton or silk.
The static charge is caused by the rubbing of materials that
are man-made. This charge is normally leaked to earth through ur feet.
Lots of shoes have plastic soles & so are excelent insulators & so the
charge builds up & bits of clothing stick to you.
The linings of skirts & slips if made from man made materials will be
attracted to the charge that is building up in ur body as it can not leak away. So either change to leather soled shoes, or silk slip/skirt linings. Also you will notice this effect will vary depending upon the weather. Damp days the effect should not be as noticable as the dry ones. Air conditioned rooms are very dry & make the problem worse. Hope that helps understand the problem.
